My favorite thing about gamification in general is how we all have the freedom to choose what type of project we want to create. Gamification is when students like me, create or build whatever project they wish. This week I chose the challenge of printmaking. I like the Pittsburgh Steelers, so I wanted to create a print associated with their logo. I created this printmaking project with my friend, Alex. Take a look at the slideshow below to view the different steps associated with this project.
These are two examples of my final prints shown below. I was very pleased with how they turned out. My favorite thing that I enjoyed most was printing the diamonds. I thought it would be difficult to line up the diamonds exactly to one another on the paper, but it just got easier as I went along. During my experience with printmaking, I learned that it is important to make sure you label all of your prints. This lets others know how many prints are available and how valuable your prints are individually.
If I had the option of adding something to this print, I think I would add some chatter to the background to give this print more affect and detail. Also, this printmaking project has inspired me. It has let me know that I can create any type of printmaking with as many colors as possible. It may have been a challenge at first, but I managed to face it. Just remember that anything is possible and anything can be done.
